Not so thrilling for me

This was not so much a science fiction novel as a thriller with just enough sci-fi to make the premise somewhat plausible. That's not to say this book was thrilling, the author never really led you to a cliff, gave you a peak over the edge, then swooped down for a breathless rescue. This was more of a train trip from point A to point B without much scenery to gaze at out the window taking your mind off the clackety-clack of the train passing over the tracks. I found myself constantly checking my watch wondering if this train would ever pull into the station. Part of the problem was the author's complete lack of a voice. This read like a technical manual most of the time. An editor and/or proof reader would have helped too. It's hard to get lost in the story when stumbling over a poorly constructed sentence, only to back up and try to figure out what the author meant because of a missing word, extra word or sometimes just the wrong word. Using "to" for "too" or "there" instead of "their" are rookie mistakes that should have been eliminated in Comp 101.
Overall, I can't say I would recommend this book to anyone else or look for other titles by this author and that's too bad because this story had promise. But the goal of a free download should be to whet the appetite of the reader and bring him back wanting more. On that level this book failed. Better luck next time.

Nice plot

The plot is nice and quite juicy in many ways. The beginning with randomized order of chapters was highly annoying, though I see the goal. It is a book about mixing the cause and result, but maybe this was slighly cheap way to make it concrete to the reader. The end came too soon and could have developed the idea much further. I was bit disappointed also for the shallow characters. The text flow was quite nice and kept me reading.

Entertaining and Thought Provoking, Waiting for the Sequel!

This is one of those books that become harder and harder to put down the more you read. The mystery and intrigue continues to build right up to the end. You actually hate to see it come to an end. This is one of those books that make you wish there was a sequel so that the adventure can continue. I agree with one of the other reviews that put this book in the same category as Cussler and Clancy. If you like adventure and mystic you won't go wrong with this book. I bought the Kindle edition but will be getting the traditional book version as well and will be looking for more from this author.
