Call this book the Management Bible

Ken Blanchard went on to become the management guru of the 90s, writing countless books that can be found right here on Amazon. However, this text book is where is all began. I call it a text book because it is. This text has been used and is still used in management schools around the nation. Written with Hersey and Johnson, this book is the definitive foundation text on how to manage organizational behavior as it pertains to managing people. Following are a couple key points:

1) Diagnosis: It is a manager's job to modify their management style to employee needs. Evaluting employee needs and corresponding management styles can be easily done using Situational Leadership tools (found in book).

2) Intervention: Performance can be managed using the fundamental postive reinforcement psychology. Further, by consciously indentifying needs, performance can be improved more rapidly.

3) Evaluation: If behavioral change does not occur, the individual may not be in the right role.

This sounds dry and obvious by today's standards, but it wasn't when the first edition of this book was published (1980s). Further, most modern organiztional and management theory is based on this book. There is still gold to dig from its pages.

Terrific book! Not your regular textbook.

I do not have a lot of time because I am in a masters in education program so I will be short and to the point. This was a required book for a class, but I was quite pleasantly surprised to discover that this book is actually quite well written. Some parts are even amusing. As I said, not your regular textbook! It is also chock full of pithy quotations. Enjoy!

So much more than a camera manual!

I have been a fan of Gary's books for years. This is my forth and like all the others it's written in a highly readable and easy to follow format. Everything is well documented and there are loads of examples. This book is SO much more than a how to use the camera manual! A full-color downloadable version for much less is available on Gary's website. Google "RX-100 Friedman."

There are better, less expensive choices. This book while it had relevant information was very cheaply printed using cheap paper and illustrations were monochrome, often had banding and frequently difficult to see. Should have been 1/2 the price .

Gold mine of practical information - clear, concise, and detailed

Extremely helpful for any user of a Sony RX-100. This is not some fluffed out "RX-100 Guide for Dummies", but instead a book where the deeper you study it, the more you will learn. The scope of the information and the orderly way it is presented makes for an excellent learning resource. Gary's writing style is informative, to the point, and his extensive real world experience with the RX-100 is readily apparent.

I bought the RX-100 as a compact travel and walk-about camera for those occasions where I didn't want to lug my Canon DSLR and multiple lenses along with me. The RX-100 is easy to get up and running in basic modes. However the detailed knowledge I've gained through Gary's book has been an eye-opener in understanding the versatility of this camera, allowing me to use it in its fullest capacities.

But the physical properties of the book are lacking. Cheap paper, muddy B&W photos instead of color, very disappointing to me. I gleaned much knowledge from the text, but the book's overall usefulness would have been significantly improved by having sharp color photos.

Good book, eh sex

Great Story....Delicious, Funny and Heartfelt

I received an ARC....I loved the continuation of Queen Tanya, King Brant and Zane. The story opened with the some Lores rules on rutting other females while the Queen is in her last stage of pregnancy...OMG! I agree with Tanya 800%...absolutely NOT.! Even though it got pretty out of hand, it didn't matter what the lores said anyway because Brant & Zane didn't want to do it; which says a lot. There was a few twists in the story which I thought was really, really good; and looking forward to that carrying over to the next installment. I like how the author had both Brant and Zane discuss how they felt about it, even though Tanya did say somethings that were pretty bad and men do have feels. Esp, when they love someone and want to make the relationship work. Even though Brant and Zane are constantly chippy towards one another, they seem to be bonding slowly but surely. Brant is still a bit surly but he's coming around; they even had a heartfelt moment in the story! I'm Zane's biggest fan...totally love his character...when he said "Fuc@!* that! That I would xx. and leave you with Tanya?..Totally GREAT LINE.!! I was cracking up laughing! You gotta love Zane, he's great! Even though I didn't get my twins with Tanya, I was so pleased with the baby. I was thrilled that Becky was assigned to help with the birth. Even though she's not OB-GYN, she's still very good....with her two mates, Rushe & Ross..yum, yum!! They seem very protective of her..!! I was also so pleased to see they brought in Steph & Ward and Xavier and Esral. Xavier can't seem to pull himself away from Esral...LOL! I would have loved more dialog between the women and have the men chat a bit more, esp with the breading program. Tanya finally got her vampire sandwich....WHOA! Knockout scene. I was like wow! Overall the story was great and I'm looking forward to the next installment "Breading Program"...I know that's going to be a doozy...LOVE IT..! Thanks Charlene!

Great balls of fire! Charlene Hartnady has continued the magical journey of Queen Tanya and Kings Zane and Brant with Mated to the Vampire Kings and what a glorious treat it is! I love it! Although this is a standalone novella with no cliffhanger, I would highly recommend reading Charlene's Chosen by the Vampire Kings Series prior to reading this book. I've been not so patiently waiting for this release since I learned Queen Tanya was pregnant at the end of Chosen by the Vampire Kings and it was well worth the wait! Charlene has totally knocked it out of the park - again! Yes, Charlene has amazing talent. Yes, she has an astounding imagination. And yes she has incredible skill but it's her unique ability to draw her readers into the story and make the fantasy come to life and become so real as we become immersed in the worlds and the characters she creates for us. And the characters are always my favorite element of her stories. They seem to capture not only our imagination but our hearts as well. The dialogue is smart, exceptionally well written, well edited and flows effortlessly. The story is smart, exciting, fast paced, original, imaginative, suspenseful, captivating, gripping, riveting, thrilling, hilarious, romantic, arousing and oh so sweet!! And did I say hot? Oh yeah! The characters are fascinating, intriguing, engaging, endearing, sexy as sin and at times, laugh out loud funny. These are only a few of the words that come to mind when I try to describe this story. This book has it all! Ms. Hartnady has once again demonstrated her exceptional writing ability and talent by delivering a masterpiece of paranormal fiction filled to the brim with thrills, chills, danger, action, adventure, suspense, humor and romance. Such a delight! So, are you ready my lovelies for another wild ride??? Well, buckle up! Here we go again!
It's been almost a year since the Kings somehow managed to survive the mating ceremony and we're once again back at the castle just outside Sweetwater where both covens have now combined. The Kings have been busy trying to organize and implement their new "breeding program". Breeding program??? Yep, I said breeding program! The Kings, Zane and Brant, have learned through Stephany's new wolf alpha mate Ward, that humans are, in fact, strong enough to survive a mating with shifters and vampires other than the kings. The Kings have finally embraced this new idea and have been hard at work drawing up the contracts with the humans and finalizing the arrangements. It doesn't take long for the news to spread throughout the castle and all the unmated female vampires have decided to perform their duty and serve their Queen by servicing her mates! Huh? Yep, ancient vampire lore allows the Kings to rut with other females when the Queen is unable to perform her duties. What the heck? Never going to happen! Not as long as there's a breath left in Tanya's body! But someone forgot to send the memo to all the female vamps because they've all just showed up! Needless to say, Queen Tanya is more than a little upset! It seems trouble is brewing both inside and outside the castle. Not everyone is happy about the new breeding program and all hell is about to break loose - inside and outside the castle! But just which of the Kings is the father of Baby Sam? Hmmm....I wonder??? Does it even matter??? I think not! Let the hijinks begin! No spoilers from me but I will say this...Two always feuding, sexy, alpha vampire kings, totally different yet both desirable and each loving their human queen more than life itself-check! Beautiful, sassy and very pregnant Queen Tanya who loves both her Kings to distraction-check! A large and wonderful cast of characters-check! An ancient vampire lore-check! A new human breeding program-check! Action, danger, thrills, chills, suspense, a returning old enemy who I lovingly refer to as "the bloodhag" and an unexpected new enemy as well-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, sweet romance and a boat load of laugh out loud humor-you bet! That and a whole lot more! And yes, all of our favorite and much loved characters make an appearance in this book! Deliciously cute, fabulously funny, seriously sexy, completely captivating and divinely entertaining!!!

This book is Not about the Design and architecture but Explains how to get it done and what should be used and where.

So basically there is the structure and a couple of pictures of it. then there is a floor plan ( to scale) and finally the materials of the structure With the diagram of the structure in detail.

So u you don't just see the design BUT also know the materials he had built it with. You can actually relate it to another project and not wonder about the materials to be used then

About the Author
For years, Jacquee Kahn has been dispensing “Super Nanny”—style tough love to women in need of relationship help. Her no-nonsense, straightforward advice became the foundation for the Girlfriend 911 program. Jacquee began her career at the Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles, later transitioning to critiquing and editing screenplays. She currently has a number of writing and producing projects in the works. A native of Cape Town, South Africa, Jacquee moved to the U.S. at the age of 16. She earned a degree in English Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She also studied Economics at London University College in England. She currently resides in Los Angeles.

A Modern twist to that "other" Book

Although I am currently not in a relationship, Girlfriend 911 has helped me TREMENDOUSLY! I've learned to relax, find my boundaries and respect them! I tend to be very impatient in relationships so I love the advice about timing so I've bookmarked Chapter 8 and often just pull it out and read it outloud to myself! I also completely agree with owning up to your own contribution to a relationship that's not working. Be clear with what you want and don't want in a relationship. Just that little piece of advice worked wonders for me.

I keep this book handy and refer to it often. Thanks so much Jacquee!! Your book has changed the whole way I look at dating.

They are woman, hear them roar

I read through this book in record time, thanks to a strong recommendation from an old friend. Disclosures first - yeah, I'm a dude. And certainly Girlfriend 911 is a worthy hallmark of chick lit and to be honest, no person possessing a Y chromosome ought to be anywhere near the proximity of this book, due to its brazen and often amusing ego-shattering hard truths. Worse still would be letting their woman get her lovely paws on it and by proxy, holding themselves and their hubbies to higher standards of human communication and mutual respect. I read the book because I'm an author myself and I wanted to measure current zeitgeist in twenty-first century literature when it comes to dealing with the problems of romance between us cavemen and the fairer, wiser sex. Kahn and LePage do an excellent job of analyzing modern dysfunctional American relationships; their prose in relaying the importance of owning up to self-realization and applying it to real life actualization is sharp, witty, and poignant. I would certainly recommend this to any female friends having difficulties in their relationships, particularly those who've been subject to more selfish and arrogant examples of the opposite gender. Excellent read for women. Men, perhaps not as much, especially if you're one of those fellas who never take ownership of your frequent errors...unless you're a sensitive and caring guy like me, of course. - Frank Bardessono, author of The Kindness Of Ravens.

So worth it!

This book came to me during a much needed time. I was ending a 7 year relationship in which we built a life together, but he didn't want to get married. Confused and hurt, I left the realtionship. We were continuing to be "friends". Everytime we hung out, I would leave the situation feeling used and like I deserved more from this man.
Then, ta-dah, the book came to me. Now living alone, I had time to read it and actually soak it up. Everything made so much sense. GF911 helps you understand that by lowering your standards, you actually create the problems in the relationship. I knew this, but needed cold, hard words to slap me in the face. Many of my friends would make excuses for me. Like "What a jerk!" "I can't believe he did that to you!" But after reading the book and taking responsibilty for lowering my standards and accepting "crumbs", I saw the light. I have been doing it wrong for so long!
I wrote my goodbye letter and feel more empowered. I wrote my standards list, and feel even more empowered. Why have so many of us lost that self-respect? GF911 tells you that you can get it back!
I am referring all of my friends going through realtionship problems to this book. It has helped me understand where I always go wrong in breakups and why I always feel like the a-hole when I "go rogue".
