Not my kind of love story...

This is definitely not your typical love story. I am all for curve balls, but the ones in this book turned me off to no end. And it was so convoluted, we got bombarded with information, that, in the end, was not explained, and left you with a feeling of wondering what the heck did you just read...

We got Jax, funny guy and famous man-whore, who grew up in the club, and is very happy with his life in it, especially the sexual perks of it. Then, we have Cherri, stripper at the club's strip joint, who has enough drama in her life to make you thank your lucky stars for the boring life that you must have in comparison. He wants her, she says no, so he hooks up with this other stripper there. Then, while still in a "relationship" of sorts with Peaches (the other stripper in question), he ends up sleeping with Cherri and tells her he is with her now, and would dump the other one. However, there's a misunderstanding and when Cherri thinks that Jax just played her, she hooks up with another biker from the club, Gunner. Then Jax gets mad, and continues sleeping with Peaches, along with a couple other women he picks up along the way, while Cherri is definitely in a relationship with Gunner now. Then, this other goofball comes out of the woodwork, turns out he had been Cherri's sugar daddy back before she came to strip for the MC.

So there's all this back and forth that goes on forever, and just when you think that things are finally settling down, there's more drama coming. I did not like the sleeping with other people, especially out of spite, at all, and could not get over it at all. It took everything in me to finish this book, because deep down I guess I did want to see Jax and Cherrie get their happy ending, but their story was definitely not my cup of tea.

Not as good as book one, but ok

2nd book in the series and I didnot like it as much as Hawk's book. I found Jax to be an ass, to me he was not a likeable character. It is hard to believe he had strong feelings toward Cherri when every time she saw him he was with another woman. I felt sorry for Cherri, she had a hard life. Finally she was trying to make something better for herself. Finally toward the end of the book Jax redeemed himself enough for me to change my opinion of him. I did like the way he handled himself with the club and the ending of the book. I wish the author would give the reader more with the other members and past characters in the stories. That being said I am looking forward to Chas/ Addie's book. Still would like book about Banger.

I love MC books. I'm disappointed with this one. Back and forth between h and h. Sleep with her,then sleep with someone else to get back at her because she is afraid of a relationship. H says I will do my best to be faithful. I liked the first book in this series. This one was a long drawn out back and forth, I want you but not enough to not sleep with other people. If these books continue,I hope the storyline improves.

A Unified Approach-At Last!

I have read some excellent books and survey papers describing particular domains of the evolutionary computation field, but this book try to give us a "Unified Approach" of this field.

I find very interesting the author's idea to model the evolutionary process with a dynamic (nonlinear!)system so that "...given particular initial conditions the system follows a trajectory over time through a complex evolutionary state space. One can than study various aspects of these processes such as their convergence properties, their sensitivity to initial conditions, their transient behavior and so on."[pg. 2 of the book]. And, I can add, why not "chaotically behaviors".

Great book for a theoretical overview

This book shows a unified view of genetic algorithms, genetic programming, and related fields. It includes some discussion of the historical development of the disciplines and presents the theory behind them.

However, while it does fit an undergrad course, it is not a book for practitioners, since most algorithms are not explained in detail.

Kindle addition

I was kind of worried when I bought this, because I had read the reviews that stated no downloads were included for the practice lessons. I guess Amazon or Adobe have fixed this problem, because on the very last page they give a web address, which is also a link to the files. I went to the address on my laptop where the Illustrator program is installed and had no problems downloading all the necessary files. I am about half way through the book, and the book is exceptionally well written so the common lay person can understand. They have diagrams and step by step instructions, and lessons to follow along, so you can learn by doing. No need to go to school, you can learn at your own pace. Thank you for a wonderful program and book.

Groundbreaking and effective

This book goes far beyond any other book I have ever read about female sexuality, and believe me I've read plenty of them over the years. It encourages you to go beyond thinking about sex per se and to use your sexual life force to begin functioning sexually on a much higher level, beyond anything you might even have considered possible.

These procedures are designed to give you complete mastery over your body's physical responses. Some can be difficult in the
beginning but practice makes them easier. For example, he shows you step-by-step how to channel sexual energy so that instead of
having a physical climax, you can spiral that very energy throughout your body, one location at a time. This has the effect of revitalizing all your organs, glands, and nerves in each location as the energy passes through it. Those familiar with the macrocosmic orbit will recognize the procedure. Once you develop this ability, you will be able to experience greater and more fulfilling physical climaxes that are not localized but involve your entire body. Ultimately it's designed to enable you and your partner to experience a complete physical and spiritual union as well as a union with God or the universe or the higher power or whatever you want to call it..

Since it can be difficult to do the steps he describes while holding the book in your hand and reading the instructions, I recommend taping yourself reading the instructions out loud at an un-hurried pace and then using the tape instead of the book to guide you through the exercises.

This is a challenging book but completely rewarding if you actually start putting the steps into practice. I had some resistance in the beginning to going and trying some of them. It was much easier to just keep reading. But when I pushed through and followed his instructions for a few things, I was really impressed and inspired by the way they made me feel. The first time I sat down and actually did the entire ovarian breathing process - and believe me, I did NOT do it perfectly - I felt an awakening in my body that was profound and inspiring.. I've been practicing raja, hatha, and swara yoga for a while, so I guess I was ready, but I feel that this book can benefit anyone with even the slightest inclination to try some of the methods he provides, and just a little bit of practice will go a long way.

This book isn't for everyone. It's not a bunch of intellectual exercises, but it does involve your mind as well as your body and your
spirit. It provides very practical physical steps that you can do by yourself, and later with your partner. If you think you're going
to simply read it and have it change your life, you could be disappointed. To get the most out of this book you will have to apply
yourself. But even if you simply read it, it can open your mind to what is possible. The rewards will probably be on a scale with
how much effort you put into it.

It says 'Mantak' is the author however I think his wife wrote or closely edited this book. The personality of this book is precious.

I think it is the best book they produced and it is one of the first written if not published a little later. If you are into martial arts, this information can be very meaningful to begin to comprise a rare and viable path. It can be easily misunderstood from western conventional thinking. It's like learning to unfathom the art to make good tea now that you appreciate good coffee. The formulas are within oneself, so it is a good usable guide to discover the language and thinking processes or mindset for developing one's own "Formulas". It briefly touches upon the deleterious karmic consequences of tantric yoga mal- practice, however that is a whole'nother'world and if you are truly seeking an alternative way, this book could be a catalyst to helping you to finding your destiny.. Who knows, with this knowledge base, you might win the first marathon that you ever run!

A spiritual view and method of sexual practice. As a woman who was raped in the past, I wanted to be able to look at sex from a different perspective other than someone's lust. This book doesn't deal with the subject of rape (one should visit a councilor for that), but rather reveals practices and methods for healing and rejuvenating the body through work with herself and also a loving sexual partner. A celibate woman may also benefit from these exercises. Breathing exercise and explicit diagrams are also used. This is esoteric knowledge which for centuries was secret in China. It's a wealth of fabulous knowledge and very helpful. There is a companion book for men as well. Oh, to find a partner trained in this method!

About the Author
Gwilym Davies won the World Barista Championship in 2009. In 2011 he opened Prufrock, a London café and training center which won the Best Independent Coffee Shop at the 2012 European Coffee Awards. He is currently Representative and Head Judge for the WCE (World Coffee Events) and an Authorized Trainer for SCAE (Speciality Coffee Association of Europe). Ben Townsend has been in the coffee industry for 10 years. In 2009 he opened the Espresso Room, which was awarded best coffee in London by Time Out magazine. He has worked as a trainer at London School of Coffee for eight years. In 2007 he co-developed the UK’s first accredited coffee qualification. In 2013 he was a contributor to the SCAE Barista Diploma System and he currently acts as Coordinator for the SCAE UK Education Chapter.

Web application development for R aficionados

It may look a bit unusual to consider R as a language of web application development. However, Chris Beeley wrote this book where he disperses any doubts through a number of convincing examples, gradually rising in complexity. Of course, the basic R alone could not be responsible for this exploit: this is where Shiny comes to help (and to shine). Shiny is a web application framework for R allowing to convert data analysis carried out by R packages into interactive web applications without even knowing HTML, CSS, or JavaScript. Thus, R+Shiny can be a viable alternative to the traditional ways to develop web applications.

The book is useful for those who already knows R well, but never before tried Shiny and turning to another language is not an option. Numerous code examples guide a reader from creating the first minimal application to designing a complex interactive dashboard.

Fantastic terrorism story

The idea that we have terrorists actually camping out in our country and waiting to be "activated" is probably unthinkable to many people but after what happened with 9/11, it shouldn't be. While not a light topic, I enjoy reading these types of stories because they get my heart rate going and author Roger Hayden definitely did this for me with his latest, "Sleeper Cell". The story of FBI agent, Craig Davis, who ends up on the trail of a sleeper cell within the U.S. His superiors close the case and he pursues the terrorists on his own, with the help of his partner. This was a super intense read that I found both well written and incredibly plausible. Definitely recommend. I received this product for free or at a reduced price in exchange for my honest review.
